Assembly Talk @ Zhong Hua Secondary (03 Mar)

Ms Subathra, Subject Head (CCE), from Zhong Hua Secondary invited Earth Society to conduct an Assembly talk for the school cohort on 03 Mar.

On 03 Mar, Earth Society members arrived at Zhong Hua Secondary at 7.15am. We conducted an Global Warming Assembly talk for Sec 1 to Sec 5 students from 7.40 till 8.20am. Students listen attentively to the talk and participated actively in the quiz at the end of the talk.

After the talk, we set up a booth at the school canteen from 8.30 till 10.30 am to gather feedback and pass more info to interested teachers and students.
We left the school by 10.45 am.

Feedback from Teachers:
The talk was very informative with videos to engage the students. The message of the urgency to curb climate change was clearly communicated. - Ms Subathra, Subject Head (CCE), ZHS

- Mrs See YN, Maths teacher, ZHS

The talk was very informative. It certainly helps to create an awareness about saving water, taking care of our environment and saving our Earth. The video clips sends a powerful message about saving our planet.    – Mr Basil Lee, PE teacher, ZHS

Feedback from Students:
I learnt that there are many factors that causes Global warming. I think more food should be used to feed more people rather than feeding the animals. I think we should plant more trees, do the 3 Rs and conserve water to help the planet. - Leong Kah En, Sec 3, ZHS

We really enjoyed the talk. We learnt about what is happening to the Earth currently and what is prognosticated. We must save the Earth from Global Warming.  - Jobie Lim, Cherelle Ng, Nurul Nadiah, Sec 1, ZHS

The talk was quite interesting. The videos and slides got me better informed about global warming. It also taught me to eat healthier food, more vegetables and less meat. – Long Yi Lin and Lim Yik Jane, Sec 1, ZHS
